Statement about my artwork:


I make wall drawings, drawings on paper, and sometimes paintings. They are symmetric and made up of a lot of lines. I don’t use math equations; I just draw.

I am attracted to things that scare me. As a kid, I collected spiders and picked up bees. Order, routine, and repetition scare me a little. I generally do not like them but I am attracted to them. I have a hunch there is a certain point where complex symmetry will appear chaotic. I try to get to that point with my drawings. I want to obliterate the difference between order and chaos in an image.
